The Short Version

You're on the website of It's the Best!, a Riso print and design studio in San Francisco. By using this site or buying anything from us, you're agreeing to the stuff below. If any of it doesn't work for you, no hard feelings — just don't use the site. For everyone else: welcome, thanks, and let's get into it.

Who We Are

We're It's the Best!, a small print operation making cards, invites, notebooks, and other paper goods on a one-color Risograph. We also take custom jobs from people whose moral compass points roughly the right way. We're based in San Francisco, California, and that's where these terms live legally too (more on that at the bottom).

Using Our Site

You can browse, shop, sign up for the newsletter, send us a message, and generally hang out. In return, please don't:

• Break any laws while you're here
• Try to hack, scrape, or otherwise mess with the site
• Pretend to be someone you're not
• Use the site to harass other people or send spam
• Upload anything gross, illegal, or that you don't have the rights to

You need to be old enough to enter into a contract in your state (18 in most places) to buy something. If you're younger, get a grown-up to do it.

Orders, Payment, and Pricing

Prices are in U.S. dollars and listed on each product. We do our best to keep everything accurate, but if a price or product description is wrong — say, we list a $25 notebook for $2.50 — we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund you. We'll let you know if that happens.

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a guarantee we'll fulfill it. We can decline orders for any reasonable reason: out of stock, suspected fraud, the request is rude, whatever. If we cancel, you get your money back.

Payment is processed by our payment provider, not by us. We don't store your card details on our end.

Shipping

We ship throughout the U.S. Free shipping on single cards and orders over $25, as advertised. International shipping is handled case by case — email us.

Once a package leaves us, the postal carrier is in charge. We're not responsible for delays, lost packages, or your mail carrier's mood. That said, if something goes sideways, get in touch and we'll figure it out together.

Returns and Refunds

Our returns policy lives at itsthebest.co/refunds-returns and is part of these terms. Read it before you order so there are no surprises.

Custom Orders

Custom work is its own thing. When you commission a custom job:

• We'll agree on scope, price, and timeline before any work starts
• A deposit may be required, depending on the size of the project
• Deposits are non-refundable once we've started working
• We retain the right to refuse custom requests that conflict with our values or what we feel like doing on any given day
• You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to any artwork, photos, logos, or text you send us
• Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we keep the right to share photos of finished work in our portfolio and on social media

If you send us files, copy, or other materials, you're confirming you own them or have permission to use them. If someone comes after us because you sent us their stuff without asking, that's on you (see Indemnification below).

Our Stuff (Intellectual Property)

Everything on this site — the designs, illustrations, photos, copy, the tagline, the layouts, the whole vibe — belongs to It's the Best! or the people we license from. You can't copy, reproduce, resell, or use our work for your own commercial purposes without our written permission.

What you can do: buy our products and enjoy them, share photos of stuff you bought (please tag us!), and link to our site.

What you can't do: reprint our designs, screenshot our work for your Etsy shop, train an AI model on our catalog, or otherwise treat our work like it's yours.

Your Stuff (User Content)

If you submit anything to us — comments, reviews, custom-order materials, emails, photos — you keep ownership, but you give us permission to use it for the purposes of running our business (responding to you, fulfilling your order, displaying reviews on the site, sharing portfolio shots, etc.).

Don't submit anything you don't have the right to, anything illegal, or anything you wouldn't want your grandma to see. We can remove user content for any reason without warning.

Newsletter and Marketing

If you sign up for our newsletter, you'll get occasional emails from us. You can unsubscribe any time via the link at the bottom of every email. We won't sell your email address. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

Third-Party Links

We sometimes link to other websites — payment processors, social media, the occasional article. We're not responsible for what's on those sites. Click at your own discretion.

Disclaimers

We try to keep the site running smoothly, the products accurate, and the descriptions honest. But we make no promises that:

• The site will always be available or bug-free
• Every product photo will perfectly match how it looks in your hands (Riso prints have natural variation — that's part of the charm)
• The information on the site is always 100% current

The site and everything on it is provided "as is." We're a small shop doing our best.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, It's the Best! isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of the site or our products. If we somehow do owe you something, the most we'd owe is the amount you paid for whatever caused the problem. So if your $7 greeting card destroys your life, we're on the hook for seven bucks. Sorry, that's just how this works.

Indemnification

If something you did — uploading content you didn't have rights to, breaking the law, violating these terms — gets us sued or in trouble, you agree to cover our costs (including reasonable attorney fees). We don't expect this to ever come up. But you know, just in case.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms now and then. When we do, we'll change the "Effective" date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll try to give you a heads-up. Using the site after changes means you're cool with the new version.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes get sorted out in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California. Hopefully it never gets that far.
